Winter Wardrobe Staples

In my opinion, the best thing about winter is the clothing. I am definitely NOT a snow person. You can find me curled up by the fireplace with hot chocolate or coffee when it snows.
Mostly in the winter, I wear all different neutrals. Blacks, navys, dark greens, tans, you name it! Neutrals are great for mixing and matching but also great to accessorize with since you can wear almost any color with them.
My #1 staple is a good pair of black pants. I generally wear ankle pants (I'm short .. haha) but also because they're more fitted, which I like.
#2 Sweaters! Cowl neck sweaters are my personal favorite but crew neck are good as well. Cowl necks are great if you are a claustrophobic person because they are loose around your neck. Crew neck sweaters are great for layering with collared shirts or with just a scarf.
#3 Cardigans! Great for layering, especially if you tend to get hot. Navy's, black's, khaki/camel, and dark greens are all good fall/winter colors that look great together. (depending on your skin tone, mustard is also a good color for fall/winter).
#4 Everyone needs a good neutral pair of boots. Tall, mid, or ankle... all are good options. I wear more mid and ankle boots than anything, but that's just me.
#5 Scarves. Scarves can pull an outfit together instantly with little effort. There's SO many different ways to wear and tie scarves which makes switching up an outfit pretty easy. (Would you like to see a blog post about tying and/or how to wear scarves?)
