Y'all! I knew some of the trends for the season just by following other bloggers and I've always been one to research trends for the seasons BUT there are some good and what I would consider CRAZY trends for this time of year. I'm going to break the trends down into categories and we will go through this all together.
COLORS: First, RED. Red is a huge color for this season. I will be the first to say that I do not wear red because of my hair color, it washes me out. But red is great for many people! What better time to wear red than Christmas too!
Second, BROWN is another big color for the season. Luckily, this color goes great with many skin tones and can be easily accessorized just as a neutral. Brown is great paired with khakis, oranges such as a rust color, deep purples, etc.
Third, DENIM ! Denim on denim is big this fall but has never been something I have loved. With that being said, denim jackets are a great addition to dresses and casual outfits.
TEXTURES: Velvet has started to come back this fall through little detailing or full on shirts and pants. Velvet can come in many different colors these days! The only bad thing about velvet is it's a LINT COLLECTOR. OY! That can be a nightmare. On the bright side, this material is great for the holidays and for New Year's Eve.
Furs: Faux furs are also coming back this winter. This, in my opinion, is something that a little bit goes a long way. Whether you choose a fur collar or vest, it can elevate a simple outfit into a "evening" look.
Chunky knit sweaters are also still in this fall. Grab a comfy cozy grandpa sweater and a pair of leggings for a relaxed, cozy outfit.
They always say what goes around comes around and boy don't I know it. Of all things to come back, TRACK SUITS are coming back. Whether it's nylon or velvet, you name it.. it's in. How crazy is that?
Mid-length skirts are great if you are a tall person. These are back with all different styles, patterns, and pleats. They're great for dressing up or down with a simple switch of accessories.
As far as PATTERNS for the season, western apparel, plaids, checks, florals, and leopard prints are all in. A pretty wide range there, I'd say! If patterns aren't your thing but you want to branch out a little, a scarf or maybe a printed knit top with a cardigan over top is a good way to go.

Let me know in the comment section which of these, if any, you may try this winter!
Thanks for following along! ~ Lakin
