My Every Day Makeup Look!

Hi again everyone! I hope your holidays were wonderful, and your New Year is starting off bright! This season is always jammed packed full of the three F's. Family, Friends, and Fun! Now that things have settled down, I am able to finally make my first "official" makeup post here! I decided to start off simple by showing you my everyday "go- to" look!

My everyday makeup go-to's

When I start off this look, I always make sure to have a clean face. Having leftover makeup or dirt on your skin can cause your makeup to be "cakey" which clogs up your pores (and that's never good, right?). Once my face is clean and dry, I use my "Real Techniques" large foundation brush to apply a nice thin, even coat of foundation. When doing this, always remember to stroke upward. When stroking downward, you're pulling down on your skin, which can have unfortunate long term effects on the look of your skin.

After blending all of my foundation, I apply my "Master Conceal" by Maybelline to my "problem areas" such as my under-eyes, and any acne. This simply brightens your face, and hides any unwanted blemishes.

Once finished with my concealer, I then move to eyeshadow. Eyeshadow is all about preference, and it doesn't have to be expensive to work well! For my eyeshadow, I normally reach for my Urban Decay "Naked 2" palette. It has a lot of simple browns and taupe colors. Which is perfect for an everyday look! I normally use the color "Snakebite" in my crease, "Half Baked" on my lid, "Booty Call" on my inner corner, and "Foxy" on my brow bone. For this process, I choose 3 different brushes. I use my angled crease brush for my darker colors, my flat brush for my lid, inner corner and brow bone, and my blending brush to blend all the colors together so it's not a noticeable difference. Next in my everyday makeup look, I apply my "Elf" liquid eyeliner. I apply a very thin line to my upper lash line (the thickness of your line all depends on how dramatic you want to go). For an everyday look, I keep it pretty thin.

I then apply mascara to my upper and bottom lashes. I go for black mascara because I have darker hair, but if your hair isn't so dark, then a brown mascara is gorgeous too! Once finished with my mascara, I take either my "Real Techniques" Precision Contour Brush or a Bronzing Brush, and apply my highlighter right to my cheek bones. I go for more pinky, rose tones because I have a more red-ish complexion. Last, I apply a nice, neutral matte lip color that just tops off the look!

My Finished Look!

I hope that this was an informative, helpful post to guide you in the right direction towards, a fabulously functional everyday look!

"This is your year to sparkle!"
