Go-To Hairstyles
I've had many requests on how I do my hair, what to do with your hair when you just don't want to do anything, and hairstyles for short hair. I'll be honest, this is a big stretch for me. I LOVE doing hair but I do not feel like I'm good enough to present hairstyles to y'all. BUT, I give y'all whatcha want! Hairstyles it is.
Before I get into everything, let me just say that I am ALL about braids and messy buns. They require little to no effort for me to do, which when I have 8 am. classes, is a must. Quick and easy is the rule of thumb with these 3 styles.
1. Braided Top Knot (Man Bun, haha)
Super simple guys. Use a comb to part your hair on the top of your head, about a 2-3 inch wide section. (You can use more if you have thin hair and could alter this hair style to be more like a half up, half down kinda thing.) Next, create a loose french braid, or dutch braid, just until you pull all the loose hair that you separated into your braid. Secure with little rubber band. I, then, just did a quick curl of the ends of my hair since it's mostly straight. Flip the ends of the curled pieces nearest to the rubber band and bobby pin in place. Repeat until your "bun" is fuller looking.
If you don't have the hang of braiding just yet, making multiple twist in the section separated would work too. Even, criss-crossing them would be good too.

2. French braid (or Dutch Braid) into a Messy Bun
This one takes a little bit of practice to do by yourself, on yourself. Flip your head upside down so all your hair is hanging down. Separate a small section near the back of your neck into three small parts to begin your braid. Now, this is where it gets tricky because on yourself the braid is actually backwards. (You're working towards the top of your head.) This braid looks great loose or tight, whichever one you're feeling that day. Continue braiding your hair until you get to the top of your head, than rubber band either just the braid or all of your hair. Next, wrap another rubber band around your hair to create a messy bun. In this case, the messier the better!

3. Dutch Braids into Side Bun/Ponytail
Use the natural part in your hair to your advantage here. Decide what side of your head you would like the bun on before starting. Next, create two braids almost as if you were doing braided pigtails. You will want to braid the whole way out until both braids meet. Now, one will be longer if you are doing a side bun because you will want it to kind of wrap around close to your neck and end close to your other braid. There are multiple options for different kinds of buns. If you continue braiding until the end of your hair, you can roll your hair up into a braided bun, then bobby pin until it's no longer loose or if you just want a regular bun, wrap all of your hair loosely around your pointer finger than use a ponytail to secure it! Whether you choose a side bun for a more classy office look or maybe a teased ponytail for a night out, this look has great versatility.

These are just a few of my go-to hairstyles currently for something quick and easy, but nicer-than-just-an-everage-ponytail look. Stay tuned! How I curl my hair, styles for shorter hair, and lazy day hair styles are all coming very soon!
