Closet Organization
We've all been there. Maybe your clothes live on the floor. Maybe you have "the chair." Maybe you have all your clothes in your closet but they're unorganized and it's overwhelming. I mean, where do you even begin?
I have changed up my closet organization multiple different times, especially depending on the season. There is no right or wrong way to organize because this is your space. (It's all about YOU!) Do you like your clothes in categories? Color coded? Maybe even both? I find that most people like color coding because it's easier for them to look at a color and say "that's what I want to wear today," rather than looking at categories and not knowing where to begin. My personal preference is color coding in categories.
You may have noticed that I have no pants/jeans hanging up. I have baskets displayed on built in shelves, that I keep pants/shorts/jeans etc. in. This cuts down on the "never having enough hangers" problem but keeps them easily organized. Either way is a good option depending on the amount of space in your closet.
I also have some coats, that I wear often, hanging on hooks in my closet. This helps keep the off the chair/door knobs and your room looking clean and organized. Just what we all want, right?
Shoes: This is one of the most difficult to organize. Shoes can take up a LOT of space, right? Of course, we as women, have to have heels, boots, flats, slip-ons, slippers, sneakers, flip flops.... and the list could go on and on. So what do I do? Well, I keep all my heels, boots, and some slip-ons along the wall of my bedroom. This isn't done in any certain order really but I do keep them neat and straight. If you don't have a lot of room to line your shoes against a wall, shoe organizers that go on the back of a door are easy for flatter shoes. For larger shoes like boots and heels, I recommend flat containers that can be tucked away until needed. Baskets would also work in this case too. It's truly up to you.
