Fall Trends

Hello everyone! It's been far too long since my last blog post. To say that time got the best of me is an understatement. On the plus side, we're back in business! Thank you all for following along (even when I run out of time in the day to complete a post)!

As hot as it's been outside, I'm sure some of us are looking forward to fall in more ways than one! Let's think bonfires, sweatshirts, cozy, and slightly cooler weather. While this is all exciting, the trends for this fall are even MORE EXCITING!!!!!

Drum roll please........... THE 80'S are BACKKKKKK! Yes, you read that right; all things neon, color blocking, acid wash jeans, and fun prints are all in for the fall. You name it, it's back. So dig in those closets for those things you've been holding onto for years and years, do a try-on haul to bring back the flood of memories from the 80's. Maybe you even want to play "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" to commemorate the time.

If the 80's wasn't your thing and you wanted the past to stay ... well in the past, maybe these next few trends will be more for you! All things leather and neon are coming back into play. Get those leather jackets back out or maybe you have some pants with some leather details. The fun part about trends is you can choose how little or how much you want to use them. Sometimes it's just the little details here and there whereas other times you may want to go all out. It's one of the things in life that's ALL up to you.

Next up on the list is..... PLAID. This is always one of my favorite things about fall and winter. Plaid shirts are so easy to throw on and go with a cute little vest and a pair of jeans. So simple yet chic. Oh I just love it! This is also a great way to pull in the red color trend that's in for the fall. If you are like me, red isn't a color that you can wear super well because of your skin tone, a multi-colored plaid with a hint of red is a good way to do it.

Another trend that could be contradicting is pastels AND florals... for winter? Yes, as crazy as that sounds it's in fact true. Keep those floral blouses and pastels accessories close by as they are staying out and about all winter long. Throw on a cute cardigan over top of a blouse for a quick and simple look for the office that allows you to stay warm but wear the florals and pastels that will keep you trendy.

Ruching is a trend that has come and gone over the years. It has quite mixed reviews with the everyday shopper. Many questions seem to be heard when trying on items that have ruching. I get it. I get it. Ruching can be a tough one, but if styled correctly, it can be quite becoming on all body types.

My favorite trend for fall out of all of these has to be P L A I D. There are so many ways to bring plaid into an outfit whether it's through a shirt, a scarf, a vest, or some fun boot cuffs. the possibilities are endless. If I know one thing about women it's that we L O V E options.

Do you have a favorite trend that is coming this fall? Just leave a comment below as to which one is your favorite. I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for following along!
